Hammerhead Sharks are perhaps the most bizarre yet elegant of the sharks. Their extraordinarily widened heads are thought to house organs of smell that, because of their distance apart, provide stereoscopic “smellivision,” enabling it to not only detect food at a great distance, but also to ascertain in which direction it lies.

Each shark is about 6 inches long. Including its polished burlwood base, the piece stands about 9 inches tall and 13 inches at its widest point.
The sharks are molded from Pellucida, a resin compound developed by the artist that resembles but is more durable than Bisque porcelain. They are then airbrushed.
It is SIGNED and comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY.
